Cycle 2 is done !

Zachary completed his second cycle and is doing well. His appetite is startng to pick up but he starts treatment again next week. He will begin the third cycle on Thursday which will consists of medicines that he has not experienced yet. So far, all has been positive and treatment is going as planned. As you can see in the pictures, Zachary was able to enjoy last weekend's car show and the Dade County Youth Fair.

Week 2 of the Second Cycle

Zachary has gone back for his outpatient treatment and he is doing really well. Blood counts are still low and are always a concern for us. Zachary's appetite has been pretty good and he has been feeling good and in good spirits. This week they will conduct test on him to establish a baseline of brain functions and intelligence. Down the road this will let us determine any permanent side effects from the chemo and radiation. On Wednesday he will have his outpatient chemo and then he will have four weeks off again. The next cycle will be a new chemo that he has not had yet. We are a little anxious about this because we don't know what the reaction will be.
